Lena Klassen5.0 out of 5 stars Encouraging and InspiringReviewed in Canada on November 12, 2021I really enjoyed reading through the book and was quite inspired by the people and their stories. It is encouranging to know that despite their struggles and flaws, they went on to do great things for God. It is a great reminder that having flaws and struggles of my own does not disqualify me from serving in the Kingdom of God. I am thankful to have read this book.

A historical book featuring twenty chapters of extraordinary Christian’s whose love and obedience of God fostered tremendous fervor and revival in their respective eras. These beautifully written biographies reveal a deeper understanding of the fact that though we are created to swim upstream in our world, with God anything is possible. Could not put this book down.
Having known Ed Hird for decades, I have always admired his passion for the Lord, and authentic honour, for those of generations past who have impacted history through their consecration hearts and laid down lives. This book reflects, with vigor, that passion and is nothing short of a treasure chest of revelation and inspiration. Like master excavators, Rev. Ed and Janice Hird have chiseled out of the rock of history gems that reveal what God can do with humble, devoted, individuals — many of whom are profoundly relatable. These stories both inspire and invite each one of us to step into the storyline of history in a way that will echo through eternity, by God’s grace. I believe these pages will leave every open heart aflame with fresh fire and passion!” — Faytene Grasseschi, 4 MY Canada / V-Kol Media / Faytene TV
