Restoring Health: body, mind and spirit

Join us this Sunday Jan 29th at 10am

As we celebrate the day Jesus—as an 8 day-old baby—was presented at the temple, we can ask the question: did Jesus ever claim to be God? We can answer that with a resounding “yes”! In the sixth chapter of John, Jesus makes the claim that He is the bread of life. It’s pretty clear from the text what “bread” means. No wonder the Jewish leaders wanted to kill him. This week, Jesus takes us even further. Not only is He the bread of life, but this bread is actually His own “flesh”! This Sunday we’ll explore what Jesus meant by that statement. We’re also going to fellowship together with a pizza lunch after the service.

So come, join us as we worship the triune God together. Here’s the announcement:

Join us for Sunday Jan 1st 10am

It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone. We are grateful for God’s grace and mercy as He has led us throughout the year; and how God continues to reveal Himself to us every year. This week we celebrate the Epiphany (“appearing”) of God to the Gentiles. Jesus was revealed to the Wise Men. And of course, by extension He was revealed to us! This week the Rev. Dr. Ed Hird will be preaching an “Epiphany” sermon entitled “Wisdom In Your Own Eyes.” This will be part of a two-week series on Proverbs 26 by Ed.

So come, join us as we worship the triune God together. Here’s the announcement:

I’m happy to announce that we had Church@Church this Sunday. Last Sunday we looked at facing impossible challenges and the feeding of the 5,000. This week, we discovered what to do when facing impossible challenges. You never know when Jesus will turn up. Let’s be encouraged as we pay attention to what God is doing in our midst.

In case you missed it, you can find the service from last week by clicking HERE.

If you have any further questions, or need help in any way, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Christian Kryptonite

I’m happy to announce that we’re had Church@Church this Sunday. This week we were back to the Gospel of John. Have you ever wondered why many people do not accept Jesus? There are lots of “excuses” but Jesus gives us the answer to that question this week. If we look carefully, we will see that there are many sources for the authenticity of Jesus. It’s not difficult to discover Him—if you want to find Him. Come and find out why so many people don’t find Him.
So come, join us as we worship the triune God together.
In case you missed it, you can find the service from last week by clicking HERE.
Important Dates:
This week we continue Operation Christmas Child. Come and pick up your shoe boxes and we’ll send them all over the world. (Return them by Sunday the 13th November.)
During the month of October, we’re emphasizing “connecting and belonging.” Come and join us for “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.” Sign up this Sunday to be either a “Guest” or a “Host.”
Next Sunday we have a special guest preacher, The Rev. Dr. Ed Hird. His sermon title is: “Why Does Evil Smile So Much At Halloween?”
If you have any further questions, or need help in any way, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you Church.
Stay vigilant and prayerful.

Working through the Gospel of John

I’m happy to announce that we’re had Church@Church this Sunday May 10th at 10am. This week we continue in the Gospel of John. We’ll see how the grace and truth that Jesus brought to the world help us make sense of the world in which we live.

In case you missed it, you can find the service from last week—Ascension Sunday—by clicking HERE.
Here are a couple of other really important announcements:

  1. Sunday the 12th June is Vision Sunday. Two things are planned for that day:
    a. We’re going to have a Community Pot-Luck Lunch after the service. Bring some food—everyone is welcome. (Please note that until our renovations are complete, we do not have facilities for either heating or cooling food.)
    b. At 2:00pm we’re hosting an All Saints Family Gathering to discuss the future of our building. We’d love your ideas and input. Everyone is welcome.
Please join us at 2:00pm, even if you don’t attend the Pot-Luck lunch.
  2. We’re collecting information about our YouTube online services. If you watch them and have any comments, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us with your comments and ideas. Thank you.
  3. As the summer approaches, we’re going to need help around the church: mowing lawns, gardening, helping with Sunday services, slide projection operators, etc. If you would like to serve in any way, please let me know.
If you have any further questions about these events, or anything else for that matter, don’t hesitate to contact me.
    Thank you Church.
    Stay vigilant and prayerful.
Love each other deeply and keep Jesus at the very centre of everything you do.
    Blessings on all you do.
