This Sunday morning we celebrated the Baptism of our Lord. We thank God for the example Jesus was to us as we too follow Him in baptism. And remember, that as you walk this life of following Him, you do not walk alone. We walk with you, as we also continue to pray for you every week.

I’m glad to announce that we had church again (Sunday the 10th January).
We continue in our preaching series on the Prison Epistles as we work our way through St. Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians.

This is a wonderful time to fellowship together.
A couple of quick reminders:
1. Please continue to pray for and give to our “Project Oikos.” We have now raised over $330,000 and we have $575,000 in pledges—praise the Lord. Of course, if you or someone you know, would like to help support this ministry we would be delighted to receive your gifts. Our goal is to raise another $500,000 by the end of March.
2. And don’t forget our prayer vigil. We’re praying every night for Project Oikos until Thursday the 14th of January. We meet on Zoom every night at 7pm. You are most welcome to join us by clicking on https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6042095570 Meeting ID: 604 209 5570
3. And heads up—the 17th of January (next Sunday) will be “Pizza Lunch Sunday.” Traditionally, we’ve had pizza for lunch as we fellowshipped together. Well, we will be having pizza lunch again on January the 17th. You get your pizza ready and we’ll enjoy our lunch together on Zoom!
Of course, if you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to call me.
See you at church.
The peace of our Lord,
Bishop Peter (and Jenny) Klenner
We have many great memories of the late Maureen Harrison who was a spiritual mother of the remarkable renewal at St Simon’s North Vancouver. It was a joy to go on our first Mission trip with Maureen and team to Honduras in 1994.
I pray you’ve been safe and healthy this week. I’m glad to announce that we had church again (Sunday the 22nd November). This Sunday was Christ The King Sunday, the last Sunday of the liturgical year. It is a healing service and we are pleased to bring this to you.
Rev Dr Ed Hird preached on the Parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37: “Pouring Healing Oil on our Neighbour’s Wounds”.

For the kids, there’s a special song for you by Janice Hird one of our JOY Time coordinators.
A couple of quick reminders:
If you love family drama in a Christian setting then this book is for you. A pastoral couple, Ed and Janice Hird, who have led marriage and renewal conferences around the globe, write BLUE SKY. Ed and Janice understand family dynamics and bring their Blue Sky drama to life in this Spokane city setting. This book draws you into the family, but also into the redemptive and loving character of God during life’s difficult places. If you love Karen Kingsbury’s books, you’ll want to read about the ups and downs of the Brown clan.
Michael Brunner from Texas giving an excellent bible teaching at the online North American Christian Ashram. Worth reposting. Do you ever struggle with feelings of not measuring up? How can Jesus help you with defining your true identity, and overcome worry, fear and anxiety?
Does Jesus still heal today in body, mind and spirit? How do medicine and prayer relate? Check out Matt Henson’s helpful address given at the online North American Christian Ashram. You are encouraged to repost this to others.
