As we journey with Christ through the liturgical calendar this week we arrive at the Baptism of our Lord. An important event to celebrate and remember. The baptism of Jesus is an example for those of us who belong to Him. The implication is that all followers of Jesus should consider being baptized. There’s a second reason why the baptism of Jesus is so important. As Jesus was being baptized we saw and heard the evidence of the Holy Trinity: Jesus in the water, the voice of God from Heaven, and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. A true miracle. Also, this week we continue in our study in the Book of the Revelation, as we consider just how God answers our prayers.
