Frank Bucholtz continues to be one of our Surrey’s best political commentator. As he notes with ten Surrey MLA seats up for grab, a close election may be decided here right here in Surrey. Many see Premier Eby who refuses a Surrey Policing referendum as more dictatorial than his charming predecessor John Horgan. The latest Mainstreet Research polling showing a NDP drop of 8 points to 40%. Bucholtz is right that ‘the ongoing police challenges are not doing (the NDP) any good.’ With a 19 point drop by the the BC United Liberals to just 15%, is it possible that there will no longer be a split in the right of centre vote? With the Conservatives provincially now at 34%, just 6 points behind the NDP, will Surrey surprise everyone at who they elect? Will the deeply unpopular NDP/Liberal April 1st fools day Carbon hike be the tipping point?
