A quick note to say that we had church again this morning Sunday, the 26th December.
We’ve celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

This Sunday we celebrated the Fourth Sunday of Advent. It’s a special traditional service called “9 Lessons and Carols.” We lighted the Advent candle of Joy and we read and sang together to tell the story of our Saviour. This year, many of our new church family participated in the service.
Praise the Lord!” 9 Lessons and Carols” is a wonderful service in which friends and family can easily participate. Why not invite them next Sunday morning? I also concluded my 4 week series on the Foundations of the Faith. And as a special treat after the service, we served warm fruit mince tarts and hot spiced apple juice.
We look forward to seeing you next Sunday morning . What a privilege it is to gather with the saints to worship the God-man who came to earth as a little baby! (In case you missed it, here is the recording of our service from last Sunday, the 12th December 2021. You can find the service by clicking HERE.)
Don’t forget our Prayer and Fasting vigil every night at the church at 7:00pm. We’re going to pray and fast until God tells us to stop. You are welcome to join us any night at the church for prayer.
Finally, can I also ask you to continue to pray for Project Oikos—our strategy for paying off our building. Christmas is a time when people make generous donations to the church. Please pray that our friends and neighbours will be generous this season. (If you’d like further information about Project Oikos, don’t hesitate to call me.)
Thanks Church.Stay vigilant and prayerful. Love each other and keep Jesus at the centre of everything you do.Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or needs. Lord willing, I’ll see you soon. Blessings on all you do.
The peace of our Lord,

I commend to you our good friend Jonathan Williams who has a new Christian music album coming out. You are encouraged to check this out and even repost it to others.

The beauty of White Rock beach in the morning. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go
Take a look at the five and ten, it’s glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes that glow. 🙂

I’ve had a life-long fascination with biographies. Real stories from the lives of others can give us insight and inspiration for our own lives. Rev Dr Ed and Janice Hird tell the stories of twenty people in GOD’’S FIRESTARTERS who had profound impact on their world. As the authors explain in their opening chapter, “How does God use everyday people to advance the Gospel? GOD’S FIRESTARTERS plunges you into the astonishing true stories of twenty heroes of the faith who loved from the 16th – 21st centuries.” (Page 1)
Each story is well-written and researched with documented endnotes of the various sources. I enjoyed the variety of stories built into this book. In particular, I enjoyed the chapter on Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Father of the Jesus Movement Revival, and this statement, “Through the Jesus movement in the late 1960s and ‘70s, two to three million young people, including ourselves, came into the Kingdom.” (Page 82)
I highly recommend GOD’S FIRESTARTERS.
